Hi there

I am not quite up to using charts yet, but is it worth my while signing up with my free PC pilot demo and trial.

The reason I ask is that if it is an on going payment service then do i need to be paying for it when i am not using them yet. From what i understand i can pay as i go?

Any thoughts from current users would be appreciated,

Thanks
Jason

I saw the free offer in the magazine too, but haven’t tried it out yet. I know the product provides data for aircraft add-ons such as the PMDG 747 and LevelD 757 and also provides airport charts, so it’s definitely something I’d be interested in.

Have any other readers tried it out yet?

According to the article(a pdf on the demo disc), It will be essential for PMDG 747 etc, due to some major change, sorry not sure of the full facts.

I have pre-ordered the PMDG 747, I understand it is very in depth. Even though i am not at that level yet, it’s the way i want to go, Mad hey as my level of flight sim, is Ctrl E-Start engines, Runway takeoff and land, i can use ATC and fly IFR, Cant get my head around the localizer bit, So i normally stare hard ahead for the runway and pull a few g’s with a ropey landing. I do have it set on realistic and with aircraft stress and collisions on. So I am getting there.

Charts? FMC’s, STAR’s Wow it can be confusing, right back to the Tiger Moth lol ;-)

There used to be a free source of the navigation data used by add-on aircraft for their Flight Management Computers, but this was withdrawn from public use, so this is now the only source of the data.

Oh yes, FMC’s, SID’s etc are all good fun and what I love best about flying the heavies :)

Now i get it, I think it is sounds reasonable what Ndac offer. Hey it’s not free but i think it is cheap. I love the heavies, I hope that i can get my knowledge sorted ready for the release of the PMDG 747 for fsx.

I have bought a tutorial DVD angle of attack, it’s meant to be based for use with the Level D 767-300. I know Level D are patching it for fsx, but i am hoping the dvd will help with FMC, SID’s etc. You mentioned a Level D plane any good? :-)

Personally speaking, I’d say the Level D is about the best add-on airliner for FS9/2004. Certainly the one I’ve had the most fun from :)

Great, Thanks Mark

I will keep my eye out for the fsx update of the Level D 767, The Angle of attack dvd i have bought looks pretty good. Hopefully i can relate what i learn to another Heavy for now. The Website states that they are developing a training DVD for the PMDG 747.

I just watched a preview of the training dvd, I didn’t realise there were so many take-offs types V1/V2. But i recognised one of the take-offs, because as a passenger in Cancun i Witnessed a Below 80 abandoned(excuse my lack of correct explanation), But the Pilot stated with a cool head(probably buzzing from adrenaline), We had a Warning Light so abandoned the take off, it scared the hell out of me lol.
