TileProxy Beta 6 available
The TileProxy Project has released version Beta 6 of their product which allows you to use map data from popular online sources in Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 9 (see my previous post):
This is a prerelease to the Beta 6 release of The TileProxy project. This version may be pulled, recalled or replaced at any time. Note that the manual has only been partially updated and some features that I wanted to include in Beta 6 are not yet complete.
This release features stunning water masks based on NASA SRTM water body data. With FSX you will get some amazing blending effects between land and water. With FS9 you must disable the blending feature in the INI file to use sharper transitions between land and water.
For users of older versions of Tileproxy, please look into the new options in ProxyUser.new.INI if you elected to keep your existing INI file. You will have to manually apply these options to your existing ProxyUser.INI file.
Tileproxy supports the Flight Simulator X Service Pack 1 (SP1), as well as the RTM version of Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004 - Century of Flight. Just make sure you correctly select during TileProxy installation whether or not you have the FSX SP1 installed or not.
