On November 4th at 2300Z, seven fixed based simulators and one full motion simulator will depart Sydney Australia (YSSY) for a seven day 40,000 nm journey around the world to raise money for their respective charities. The teams come from all over the globe including Australia, Scotland, England, Austria, Canada and the USA. The flights are all conducted on-line on the VATSIM network. www.vatsim.net

Each sector is flown in real-time with 60 minute stop overs in each city visited, the simulator crews will work to a roster just as they do in the real world and will report to their dispatch office to collect flight plans and a weather briefing for their sector. Most of the operators will expect their crews to follow real world procedures and conduct an efficient CRM in the cockpit at all times.

An Air Traffic Control Centre has been established at World Flight Headquarters in Sydney and this will be operational 24/7 to provide ATC services for the group.

Other pilots on the VATSIM network are invited to join the group on any of the legs and pre planned flight plans are available for all the sectors in all the major aircraft types at the OPERATIONS|DOWNLOAD section on the WORLD FLIGHT AUSTRALIA web site at www.worldflight.com.au
