Flight Simulator Social Networks
If you connect to the Internet more than once a year, you can’t help but to have noticed that Social Networks are all the rage at the moment. It was only a matter of time before the Flight Simulator community started creating their own dedicated social networks.
So far, I know of three such sites:
- My Aerodrome - a brand new network
- FS-FBO - a relaunched network created by Justin of FS Genesis fame
- The Flight Simulator Network - created by yours truly
There are also dedicated areas on sites such as Facebook.
Do you know of any others I can add to the list? What do you think of the whole idea of Social Networks for Flight Sim users?

Alpha India web site launches
Alpha India, a new flight sim we site, has opened to the public:
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Alpha India Group.
We are a group of Flight Simulator fans who want to put the fun back into AI. This is the absolute goal of our group. Our team includes many enthusiastic individuals; some have joined us having previously worked in other groups, others are joining us as new members to the FS community.
If you haven’t done so already, head on over to our forums and see what’s going on.
We have several big projects in the works, and look forward to releasing lots of cool stuff to the FS community.

Airliners.Net for simmers
FSLiners.net recently opened its doors to the public after an extensive Beta testing period. It’s kind of like Airliners.Net, but for flight sim screenshots!
I’m somewhat amazed (and impressed) that so many screenshot sites can keep going. I guess there’s a never ending market for people wishing to share their images. And why not - it’s all part of the fun of simming
Get posting those images now!

Flight Simulator X World looks back on their favourite aircraft
Flight Simulator X World has started a new series of articles looking back on their favourite flight simulator aircraft.
The first article in the series takes a look at one of my favourite sim aircraft - the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver.
Keep an eye on the site for some more interesting articles in the future.
