HiFi Simulation has released Service Pack 1 for their XPax add-on for Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 9:

We are pleased to announce that XPax Service Pack 1 has been officially released and is available for download from our website at http://www.hifisim.com (support/download section). This is a recommended update for all users of XPax and includes many fixes and enhancements.

Just Flight has released Service Pack 1 for their P-38 Lightning (see our review here).

The 23Mb Service Pack 1 update fixes a few small problems with the software and is available to download here, where you’ll find full details of the update.

This update applies to both the DVD-ROM boxed version and also the Download, and should be installed whether you use the aircraft in FSX or FS2004.

If you buy the Download version of the P-38 after today you won’t need to install this update, although anyone buying the DVD-ROM boxed version from now on will still need to download the update.

Users who installed this update before today should download and install this new version - it includes a few fixes which weren’t included in the previous version.

Please note that once the update has been installed, some keystrokes used in the aircraft operation have been simplified; there’s a link on the Support page to a PDF of the manual pages that have been amended.

Airbus Collection Long Haul - FSX Preview Icons Fix

This 2.7Mb update will fix the missing preview icons for the Asiana and Airbus House liveries. The update applies to both the boxed and download versions and is required for FSX only. Download it here.

VLJ Business Jet - Update for FSX Service Pack 2 and Acceleration

This update upgrades the VLJ add-on for use in FSX SP2 and Acceleration. It applies to the download and the boxed version of the software, and is required for FSX only. Download the 5.4Mb update here.

AlphaSim has updated both the Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 9 versions of this awesome looking aircraft:

Both the FS9 and FSX versions get a new model - the B-36B. This variant does not have the jet engines and has nose-mounted landing lights. The new B-36B model also wears a superb set of textures by Pierre Lheureux ! The new Zips are a free update, download the new Zips by logging into your personal download area in the Shop (the ‘My Downloads’ icon) and access the B-36’s download page by clicking a download link in your Recent Purchases section.

FlightSim Commander is a professional flight planner, GPS, Moving Map and navigation tool for Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X . Being a stand-alone program, FlightSim Commander can also be used in a network or with single-monitor or multi-monitor systems.

Version 8.2 has just been released and features the following enhancements:

• New Help file structure compatible with Windows Vista
• Display of SIDs and STARs on the main map
• Flight plan creation from waypoint strings
• Additional flight plan format for XML and iFly B747
• Adding alternate airport
• Many minor cosmetic changes
