Exciting Simulations has confirmed that their Space Shuttle Mission 2007 is set for a Christmas release with the following press release:

Exciting Simulations ™ confirms the Christmas 2007 launch of the Space Shuttle Mission 2007™ simulator for PC running Windows XP and Vista.

Space Shuttle Mission 2007 ™ is the newest, most exciting and affordable Space Shuttle Simulator available today. The product is designed to provide the experience and excitement of historic and current NASA Space Shuttle missions in extreme detail and includes an extremely detailed 3D Virtual Cockpit with active gauges and HUD. In addition, you have access to hundreds of switches, knobs and buttons necessary to complete the missions.

The simulator experience includes deployment, capture and service of satellites including the Hubble. You assemble, dock and supply the International Space Station and perform Extra Vehicular Activities (EVA) from first-person or third-person point of view – getting as close and personal as possible to the tasks that Space Shuttle Astronauts perform in Space.

You can also enjoy the breathtaking, high-resolution view of Earth from Space – complete with moving, shadow-casting clouds - the re-entry plasma engulfing the Space Shuttle while it traverses the upper layers of the Atmosphere and the adrenaline-filled moments while you manually land at the Kennedy Space Center or Edwards AFB during day or night.

Besides the pure educational value, if you’ve ever wondered what it feels to be in command of the Space Shuttle, perform “space walks” and dock with the International Space Station while enjoying the view of our beautiful planet at dawn and sunset from space, then Space Shuttle Mission 2007 ™ will provide you with that unforgettable experience.
