Wings of Silver video
GamersHell has posted a teaser video of Shockwave’s upcoming Wings of Silver.
It’ll be very interesting to see how well Shockwave have done with airliners. On the whole, their military aircraft are second to none.
Shockwave has released a new Wings of Silver trailer, showcasing this new product line for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Wings of Silver will feature amazing aircraft starting with a classic piston-powered airliner. The trailer shows a glimpse of this new aircraft built on the very latest technology and boasting many ‘first time seen’ features that will be the hallmark of the new Wings of Silver product line.

Hi Mark, I think it may be an Airbus Guppy (try googling it and see if you agree). I haven’t seen a Guppy before, but after passing Filton Airport, Bristol on Monday I saw a Airbus Beluga Loading up, whilst trying to show a friend online i discovered the Guppy (Piston engined). I will be getting this add on if it is, It’s like a Flying Whale lol seriously!!
Hope your well Mark, I have been quiet comms wise lately. Quick question if you have time, I am reinstallin FSX on a seperate hard drive tonight as my add-ons are well into 300gb now, you have done it with great sucess i believe, do you have any wise words you could email me. Thanks
Correction to above, Boeing also had a guppy and another company. But the first plane in the video i’m not sure off but I’m sure it’s switches to some sort of old Guppy, Awesome Thanks
Good to have you back, Jason
Let us know if you find anything else out.
Re the external drive, I had no problems at all. It just installed perfectly as if it were your default C: drive.
Mark
Hi Mark, Thankyou,
Sorry to talk about Hard drives on a shockwave link but i tried an Fsx install on another drive on my second machine AKA The SLAG(thats not a swear word but a word associated with scrap metal and that is an accurate description of my 2nd machine lol),
I had 2 folders FSX Main & FSX Addons, The scenery worked perfect from the second file, but all other items and planes didn’t show in the sim, re-installed direct to FSX folder and all was perfect. Do you seperate your FSX Folders or use one complete folder(FSX oringinal folder).
I am always worried the scenery files may slow the sim running, Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated?
Ok back to shockwave, I bought there Mutli plane addon cant remember the name, but the planes were WWII bombers and a p51, totally blown away by the feedback of the flight model, you can literally feel the weight of those heavy bombers. Then i purchased the 3d Lights Redux, again superb, they have another warbird out have you tried it?
I love the teaser and hope that It turns out to be some serious Heavy metal, I am convinced it’s a Guppy so fingers crossed.
regards
Jason
Hi Jason.
When I installed to my external drive, I just accepted all of the default installation settings for any add-ons, except for changing the Drive letter from the default C: to my external D: drive. Other than that, it was completely standard.
Re it slowing down the sim, it might do if it has a lot of 3D objects in it.
I reviewed Shockwave’s latest warbird - the P40 - here: http://tinyurl.com/ypr5uf - it’s a cracker!
