Removal of Translator on FlightSimX

by mark.avey on February 27, 2008

This is just a quick note to explain why I’ve had to remove the Translator from FlightSimX.

Unfortunately, the plug-in was placing a tremendous strain on the servers on which FlightSimX is hosted. I’ve been analysing the site a great deal lately and it was found that it was definitely the Translator causing the problems.

I must apologise to all of our non-English speaking audience for its removal, but unfortunately it’s not an option to reinstate it at this stage. I’m investigating other hosts to see if we can move to something that can handle the site a little better.

In the meantime, you can use the excellent Babelfish site to translate the page for you.

I hadn’t mentioned this earlier, as I wanted to be sure it was the Translator before making a statement.
