AlphaSim Lockheed Hudson released
AlphaSim have released their Lockheed Hudson Mk 5 and Mk 6 for Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 9/2004:
“New addition to the RAF/RN section - the Lockheed Hudson Mk.5 & Mk.6 ! A classic in the truest sense, the timeless Hudson is depicted in this package in its two final variants, the Mk.5 and the turretless Mk.6. All the classic curves and shapes are faithfully reproduced, the engines in particular are masterfully recreated. The four texture schemes included are of the highest quality and display very realistic weathering effects. Both USAAF and Royal Australian Air Force schemes adorn the Mk.6, whereas the Mk.5 wears classic RAF Coastal Command schemes. A full FSX version includes the marvellous effects in that sim (self shadowing, bump mapping etc). The virtual cockpit duplicates all the complex array of Hudson levers as well as offering the rear cabin and bomb-aimer’s station for users to explore. The 2D panel has all the typical period gauges of a RAF Hudson and several useful pop-up subpanels. AlphaSim’s website is well woth checking out especially if you’re a military buff, even if you’re not they now have video’s of most of their range which are deffinately worth a look.
