Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2 Beta goes to testers

In what must be Phil Taylor’s shortest blog entry yet, he has announced that:

FSX-SP2 Beta posted to the beta tester group.

Size is approximately 166M.

This is an important milestone in the drive to deliver SP2 before “end of the fall”.

Although it’s great to see the team working on updates, this must be a nightmare for add-on developers. We’ve already got the situation where some add-ons only work with FSX SP1 and some only work with FSX SP1 + Acceleration. Does this mean we’ll effectively have 3 versions?
