FS Dreamscapes California 10m Mesh+ released

by mark.avey on October 11, 2007

CA01 FS Dreamscapes has released the second in their series of 10m Terrain Mesh add-ons for Flight Simulator X:

FS Dreamscapes has been hard at work completing a year long project to bring enhanced, high quality mesh to “Microsoft Flight Simulator X” for the state of California.

Developed by Dean Mountford, the “FS Dreamscapes: California 10m Mesh+ Terrain” adds three times the resolution of the default mesh terrain, allowing simmers to fly through narrow canyons and valleys, exploring places never before seen in lower resolution mesh. Pilots are able to test their skills and aerobatic prowess zooming through tight twisting terrain while experiencing smooth ground runs during bush flying due to 10cm vertical resolution on the terrain compared to the usual 1m in other terrain products.

“FS Dreamscapes,” which officially launched their first product for Utah in September 2007, had started research and development into the new FSX terrain mesh format in the 3rd quarter of 2006. The aim was to create the highest quality mesh terrain available and build towards even higher resolution terrain in coming years.

“FS Dreamscapes: California 10m Mesh+ Terrain” is available for the estimated retail price of $10.95 U.S. for “Microsoft Flight Simulator X”.

You can find out more information and order FS Dreamscapes California from the FlightSim Pilot Shop.
