Reality XP releases first gauge for Flight Simulator X

by mark.avey on August 28, 2007

prodinfo-wx5-banner-bot I’ve been waiting for this day for a long, long time :) I’m a huge fan of Reality XP’s gauges and have purchased nearly all of them for Flight Simulator 9. They are the one thing I miss the most from FS9.

Their first release for Flight Simulator X is the Wx500 Weather Radar (see this link for details of the FS9 version to give you a flavour of it’s functionality - the screenshot on this post is also from the FS9 version).

I’m pleased to not they’re offering a $10.00 discount to existing registered owners of the FS9 version.

We are pleased to announce the release of the first weather radar for FSX, the:

Wx500-FSX!

Completely rewritten from scratch, using our newly developed C++ gauge framework, the Wx500-FSX offers very high resolution/details bitmaps in our gauges to accommodate any screen resolution, but also fully enables 32 bits colors with alpha blending. We can deliver near Photoshop like gauge bitmaps with shadows, highlights, glass effect in a real time rendering fashion! In short, our products look sharper, better, life-like and will run faster than default SDK based products.

In addition, the enhanced Weather Radar Image rendering with more accurate cloud and weather information from FSX delivers more precise depiction of actual conditions.

Now compatible with both Windows XP and Windows Vista, the Wx500-FSX opens a new area of gauges for FSX!

The eCommerce enabled installer can be directly downloaded from this location:

We also offer a time limited $10 discount for previous customers of the Wx500 for FS2004. The electronic coupon, valid until October 15, 2007, can be downloaded from here (requires a previous Wx500 purchase for FS2004)
