Rescue Pilot testers required

by mark.avey on August 7, 2007

Just Flight are requesting testers for their upcoming Rescue Pilot mission pack. This is a rare opportunity for anyone interested in testing a product like this. Most testing is usually amongst fairly closed groups and it’s unusual for a company to publicly seek testers in this way. I think it’s a good move and hopefully there’ll be more testing opportunities coming along.

Update (7th August, 2007, 13:00): Just Flight have now filled the beta team spaces and have issued the following statement “Just Flight would like to thank everybody that got in touch to offer their services. Please keep an eye out for future announcements regarding Beta testers”

RescuePilot2D We’re getting very excited about the release of our Rescue Pilot: Mission Pack add-on for FSX - especially after seeing the modelling detail in the last batch of screenshots.

If you’re not familiar with Rescue Pilot: Mission Pack, you’ll find all the details and some screenshots here. This add-on, developed in-house, is the first in a series of releases designed to help virtual pilots enjoy the challenging world made possible by the all-new mission system in Flight Simulator X and will be available both on DVD-ROM and as a Download.

You will find yourself in the role of a pilot in an air rescue medical service based in the UK and will need to respond swiftly to emergency calls to your home base. You might need to airlift a injured person from a car accident, pick up a stranded mountaineer, provide a high-speed courier service for a vital organ transplant - and plenty more besides!

You will need to draw on all your piloting skills in a variety of fixed wing and rotary aircraft, but Rescue Pilot also offers you a choice of settings to match your skill levels. The twelve authentic missions include realistic ATC, convincing scenarios and a custom set of rescue aircraft liveries, all adding up to create a great challenge for the jaded sim pilot.

Thank you in advance and we look forward to hearing from you.

Glitch in the demo in Windows Vista?

Even after landing “on the dot” at the crash site, it never detected the proximity, 20-minute timer kept ticking and never gave the next mission objective.

Thanks
