Two new "gaming chairs" for flight simulation

by mark.avey on November 16, 2007

“Gaming chairs”, where you can set up all your equipment (monitor, joystick etc) in a single platform, seem to be all the rage at the moment.

I’ve spotted 2 new ones to add to the growing list. The first - the GP-200 Gaming Platform - has motion of sorts, with 3 actuators at the bottom of the unit to move the chair around. This particular screen shot is set up for car racing, but it looks easy enough to configure for flight simulation:

The second - the HotSeats 723 - Flight Simulator TRX Game Chair - doesn’t have motion, but does include a 23″ monitor and the PC in the price:

Do you own either of these, or any other “gaming chair”? If so, do let us know what you think of them.
