Abacus have released their Lockheed Constellation Platinum for Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004.

Besides the famous 747, the Constellation is one of the most visually recognizable aircraft of all time. Its majestic triple tail is a dead giveaway for this classic airliner that first appeared in the early 1940s.
Francisco Sanchez-Castaner has designed this awesome replication of the Lockheed Constellation for FSX and FS2004 with its trademark elliptical wing tips and triple vertical stabilizer, Fowler flaps and tricycle landing gear.
Delivered in three colorful variations, it represents top-of-the-line quality in workmanship including the custom “throaty” Curtis-Wright Cyclone engine sounds from Aaron Swindle.
The detailed flight briefing will have you flying in no time from the large four-place cockpit that seats the pilot, co-pilot, navigator and flight engineer. You’ll fly the four-engine Constellation using the classical analog instrument panel from either the familiar 2D or 3D virtual cockpit modes.

Imagine Simulation has released KIAD Washington Dulles airport for Flight Simulator 2004.

Dulles airport occupies approximately 13,500 acres (54 km²) of land. The main terminal, designed by Eero Saarinen, is one of the most recognizable airport buildings in the world. You will find right across the Dulles airport land area literally thousands of objects created with incredible accuracy and placed with the aid of pin-point satellite photography.
The airport features custom made runways, terminal buildings rendered to 5cm per pixel scale, an interactive docking system to park you right on your mark, taxiways with highly realistic concrete textures, full airport taxiway and runway signage, 3D approach lighting and full ILS navigation. There are hundreds of airport vehicles and ground personnel, aircraft can be found parked at custom textured parking positions, all hangers, cargo and airport auxiliary buildings are modelled, there is even a perimeter fence - all under the steady gaze of intermittently placed security cameras!
In addition to all of this, KIAD looks stunning after dark with beautifully lit buildings and parking areas. Complete airport taxiway and runway lighting is also included.

IYP (It’s Your Plane) is proud to announce that it now interfaces with the Carenado Mooney M20J.

This is great news for me, as Carenado’s M20J is my current favourite GA.
When it was first introduced in 1976, it was originally intended as a commercial/touring aircraft. Nowadays, it is often used as a training aircraft for commercial pilots, so put on your pilot’s cap, climb into the M20J cockpit and your co-pilot and training instructor, Michelle or Mike, will give you all the help you need to get this baby off the ground. If you don’t need any help, you can always tell them to be quiet!
Click here to review the Checklists for the Carenado Mooney M20J and for the expanding selection of aircraft supported by IYP in both FS9 (2004) and FSX.
