Free Spitfire Trainer from Aeroplane Heaven
You don’t get much for free these days, but thanks to the generous folk at Aeroplane Heaven, you can get yourself a free Spitfire Trainer for Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004:
Shortly before he died, Alex Henshaw, the famous Spitfire test pilot and legendary aviator, took one last flight at the controls of a Spitfire. The machine in question was this one – a Mk9T painstakingly restored to flying status at Historic Flying Limited.
In 2005, whilst the restoration was in progress, Aeroplane Heaven were commissioned to produce a simulation of this aircraft, by HFL for training at their headquarters in England.. This is one of the development models from that series and we bring it to you today with our compliments.
Originally designed, of course, for FS2004, we have endeavoured to make it as compatible as possible with FSX, although one or two little anomalies may still exist.
The model includes many advanced features such as a detailed Merlin engine, fully functional,two-seat virtual cockpit and and was built using original plans supplied by Historic Flying Limited and the simulation was test flown in 2006 by their lead pilot.
Please note, there will be no Help Desk support for this release.
