Real Environment Xtreme, a powerful, high-definition, photoreal texture environment has been released for Flight Simulator X.
REX is a technologically & artistically advanced, hi-definition texture utility for the simulator pilot who requires a more advanced feature set. THE BULK OF OUR CONTENT is being produced from extremely hi-resolution film photography, NOT digital, with the upmost artistic attention to detail. Source material is then laser drum-scanned and our proprietary artwork and textures are maintained in hi-definition format to allow its amazing detail and clarity to become evident within the simulation environment. Just take a look at our Gallery section to see what we mean, or navigate here and download our FREE “Preview Packs.”

NEXTMap® ProMesh™ Mississippi is a new high-quality 4.75m terrain mesh product for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, aimed at providing the best-quality mesh to flight simmers.
Imagine your dream to fly extremely low through canyons with walls so close that you have to fly knife edge in order to survive.
Imagine flying at this same low level by the seat of your pants, the adrenaline pumping as you snake and wind your way through canyons and vistas you never thought possible in a simulator.
Imagine your local landscape rendered at the highest possible resolution available for the terrain, looking every bit as true-to-life as it does through the window of a cockpit.
The NEXTMap ProMesh terrain series is based on high-resolution NEXTMap 3D elevation data for the United States and Europe produced by Intermap Technologies™.
This terrain is eight times the resolution and 64 times more detailed than the default FSX terrain mesh for the United States. No longer are canyons 38m wide. Now you can experience the excitement of flying through canyons and valleys as close as 4.75m between walls. It makes for great low-level helicopter flying and for exploring unique geological formations that only 4.75m terrain can provide.
Unlike other mesh products, the NEXTMap ProMesh series is based on highly accurate and reliable elevation data, as opposed to the USGS 10m NED data, some of which is based on 60-year old land surveys.
FS Dreamscapes were the first designers to implement fractional elevation data settings, modeling all elevation changes to 1/25th of a meter vertically.
The end result is terrain accurately reflecting subtle differences in elevation changes that allow pilots to fly in a virtual real-world enrironment, as close to reality as possible.
Finally an old fashioned airport where you can walk on the ramp to board your flight, smelling the sweet scent of avgas, very different to today’s modernized airports with jetways where the passenger is “isolated” from the airport environment.
Providenciales: It’s warm, it’s colorful, it’s Caribbean jewel from TropicalSim.
FranceVFR has released their regional airport Brest Guipavas (LFBR) for Flight Simulator X.
This is the 3rd pane of France VFR’s new series of Regional Airport in Ultra-High-definition (25cm/pixel).
The scenery is developed by using extremely detailed techniques including building textures, high-definition ground textures and the corresponding night textures. This scenery is FSX native and its FS2004 version will be soon commercialized.
France VFR emphasises the difference between the previously developed airports: Since Toussus and Lille Airport releases, including Brest as well, these sceneries are entirely realized in high-definition and conform to new airport design concept charts.
Brest Guipavas Airport is a stand-alone product and will be entirely compatible with Bretagne scenery (upcoming regional scenery) and fully compatible with any Mesh of your choice. Charts SIA - VAC - IAC - ARRDEP are provided just as specific near-by road-traffic and animation of different airport vehicles.Brest Guipavas Airport: extremely detailed airport with its surrounding.

OZx have released their photoreal scenery of the Grand Canyon area.
The scenery is for FSX SP2 only, it has got a resolution of 2m/pixel, autogen and nightlights, Summer season only. The main airport of the area, KGCN (Grand Canyon Natural Park) has been dramatically improved. It is a stunning scenery, created by Antonio C., and Maurizio G. The photoreal scenery is based on the latest techniques, to ensure a real visual experience in flight. Colorado river has animated water in the parts where it’s bigger.
