Austin Meyer is rightly chuffed to announce that the aircraft manufacturer Cirrus is using his X-Plane simulator to “demo” their personal jet, named “The Jet”! They have released a video to showcase the aircraft, which looks absolutely gorgeous.
I don’t blame Austin one little bit for blowing his own trumpet here. It must be immensely satisfying to see a real aircraft designer using your product to showcase their work.

Interesting to see this innovative aircraft in moving 3D and also to see X-Plane in action. The aircrafts website is worth a visit, the 3d rendered pictures are very nice.

I took the Cirrus’ own the-jet video as almost a dare to make one really great. I couldn’t believe they actually showed that, given the caliber of aircraft that can be made.. it was sub-par to say the least. I hope I really seriously did it proud in the CTJ (Cirrus The-Jet) that I have made, for x-plane.
